YAEL DECKELBAUM

Yael Deckelbaum, the award-winning singer, songwriter and passionate peace activist, is coming to Zurich on February 28, 2024 as part of her Surrender Tour. Yael is known worldwide for her hymn “Prayer of the Mothers”, which became the voice of countless women’s marches and found its way into the hearts of people all over the world. This song united people across borders and inspired them to stand up for peace in unity. Now Yael is bringing her powerful message back to the stage with new music and celebrating the release of her latest album, Surrender, in November 2024.

This new album is a touching collection of songs that reflect Yael’s journey as an artist and activist. Her songs take the audience on a journey fueled by inner freedom, hope, and devotion to unity. With an incomparably honest and deep voice, Yael shares stories of letting go and starting over, inviting us to open our hearts to the healing power of her music. In the Surrender Tour, she guides us through moving songs that encourage us to see beyond divisions and feel part of a larger community.

Yael will be joined on this tour by the talented Israeli-Arab musician Meera Eilabouni. Meera has been committed to peace and community since a young age and brings her musical depth and energy to this collaboration. With Meera and Yael on stage, an atmospheric presence is created that builds bridges between cultures and touches the audience with melodies and lyrics that celebrate the connectedness and uniqueness of each individual.

On March 1, 2024, Yael is also inviting us to a Voice Ceremony Workshop that focuses on the healing and liberating power of one’s own voice. This workshop offers a rare opportunity to rediscover one’s own voice and overcome inner barriers through breathing techniques, singing together and ceremonies.
