YAIMA
YAIMA is much more than a duo—it’s an invitation to feel.
Born amidst the misty forests and wild shores of the Cascadia region, and now based in Seattle, the “Yaima Music Project” brings together multi-instrumentalist and producer Masaru Higasa and singer Pepper Proud. Together, they weave timeless music at the crossroads of worlds, where polarities meet and balance each other with rare precision.
Their folk-electronic universe blends traditional instruments from around the globe, subtle electronic textures, and deeply soulful vocals. Each track is a living landscape—at once organic, enveloping, and luminous.
Inspired by nature in its most vast and intimate forms, their music acts like a breath: it soothes, uplifts, and connects. It opens a space where the heart can soften and the mind can expand.
YAIMA offers not just a concert, but a journey. A bridge between the human and the living, between the inner and the invisible.
For several years now, their music has resonated across the globe, touching those in search of depth, beauty, and authenticity.
The name YAIMA itself carries this poetry: derived from both Mapudungun (that through which water flows) and a preserved region of Japan, it evokes flow, transmission, and the memory of cultures.
Following a suspended and deeply moving moment in Zurich in 2025, YAIMA returns to Switzerland for a one-night-only performance in Nyon on October 11, 2026. This evening has been designed as a true journey. We begin at 6:30 PM with a cacao ceremony, to take the time to settle in together, connect, and properly prepare the ground for listening. Then, gently, the music will carry us away. The cacao ceremony is included in the ticket.
