Letting go of constraints, welcoming new experiences without expectations, self-discovery and complete trust in the creative process are the cornerstones of Alexia’s musical philosophy and her life. Her songs thrive on her deep and soulful voice, clear arrangements and a natural dynamism. In her songwriting, Alexia displays a unique melodic pop sensibility combined with lyrical themes that explore the human condition, consciousness and mindfulness. She hits the nail on the head when she says: “Oneness has no genre.”
Alexia Chellun has become known worldwide primarily for her song ‘The Power Is Here Now’, which has many millions of listeners on Spotify. Her videos have been viewed many millions of times on YouTube, including 6 million views for ‘The Power Is Here Now’ alone. Chellun was also invited to give a TEDx talk.
Alexia was born in London into a family rich in musical influences and cultural traditions that have accompanied and enriched her music since childhood. Her mother (Greek-Cypriot) and her father (Indian/Mauritanian) provided a soulful blend of Creole folk music and diverse sounds from Cyprus, France, Spain and Africa.
